With so many healthcare options, it can be hard to know which one is right for you. Let’s start by defining a few commonly misunderstood terms:

  1. Conventional medicine—also known as Western or allopathic medicine—focuses on diagnosing and treating patients using evidence-based, standardized protocols, often including medication or surgery.

  2. Complementary therapies are used alongside traditional medical care. Examples include acupuncture, reflexology, massage, mindfulness, chiropractic, aromatherapy, and herbal supplements.

  3. Alternative medicine refers to practices used in place of traditional medical treatment.

Statera is rooted in integrative health, an approach that treats the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—by combining conventional medicine with complementary therapies. In a client-centered approach, our interdisciplinary team collaborates in care, honoring each person’s unique needs and goals. Providers strive to identify the underlying causes of disease and dysfunction rather than focusing only on specific symptoms or conditions.

Learn more about our services. To learn more about the conventional and complementary options we offer at Statera, visit our website. You may also find reputable information from sources such as the Institute for Functional Medicine, the Reflexology Association of America, the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, Cleveland Clinic, or Mayo Clinic.

Get to know our providers. It’s important to research a provider’s education, training, experience, licensing, and certifications. For your safety, be transparent with your healthcare providers about whom you are seeing. All professionals involved in your healthcare should be willing to communicate and coordinate care.

Schedule a free 20-minute consultation. Since opening in spring 2018, I have offered complementary consultations to help people learn more about our services and determine which options may be the best fit for their needs. These consultations are not intended as a full evaluation or a prescription for a care plan, but rather as a starting point to answer questions and provide guidance on options at Statera.

With our unique approach to healthcare, we offer one-on-one appointments for men, women, children, and infants. For additional support, we also offer a variety of classes and workshops throughout the week, Monday through Saturday. We’re here to support you and your family on your lifelong health and wellness journey!
