Functional medicine is a holistic approach within integrative healthcare that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of chronic illness. As a functional medicine practitioner, I work to understand why certain symptoms or conditions have developed by looking at how different systems in the body interact and influence each other.
Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I take a multi-system, individualized approach. This includes evaluating your personal and family medical history, lifestyle habits, major life events, genetics, and both mental and physical health. Using a combination of history, physical examination, and lab work, I assess your overall health and design a treatment plan tailored to you.
As an integrative provider, I may incorporate a range of tools—such as pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, botanicals, lifestyle changes, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals—to support your healing. My goal is to understand you as a whole person, not just your current symptoms, and to partner with you and our care team to help you achieve your health goals.
My passion for functional medicine grew from years of practicing in the conventional healthcare model, where I often felt limited in my ability to fully support patients facing chronic health concerns. I’m grateful to have expanded my training so I can now offer more comprehensive, personalized care that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.
