As we approach the start of a new year, we typically take time to set our intentions, resolutions and focus for what we want to manifest in our lives. After a year of such uncertainty, fear, loss and anger, perhaps we should also reflect on what we want to let go of and leave behind us.
This week I have been thinking about the emotional load so many of us carried in 2020. If you were able to stay mindful, centered and rose above the chaos, congratulations! Unfortunately, I was unable to do so and it took a toll on my inner peace. PEACE is my focus word for 2021 and in order to nurture my inner peace I will need to leave behind a few things including:
Let go of the need to be right—It is always more important to be kind than to be right.
Let go of worry—Worry about the future robs us of peace and living in the present moment is where joy is found.
Let go of judgement—We don’t have to agree on anything to be kind to one another.
Let go of playing small and not allowing my voice to be heard—Speak truth to power through Love, not anger.
So, what do you need to leave behind from 2020 in order to live your best life in 2021?
Wishing you peace and joy,
