About the event
Low back pain. Many of us know this all too well- spending much of our day sitting at a desk, driving kids across town, or performing chores around the house. Poor posture, weak core stability muscles, and improper form with certain movements can cause strain on the lower back. These misaligned movement patterns can affect joint health, triggering a muscular chain reaction with the end result being sore joints, tight or weak muscles, and posture imbalances. Proper alignment and muscle awareness strategies can be reintroduced through education, activation and strengthening exercises, and relieving stretches.
Join Tricia Serres, DPT and Malia Ridgeway, Stott Pilates Instructor for an interactive clinic that will address pelvis and lower back alignment strategies, strengthening and activation of deep core muscles, and appropriate stretches to reduce low back pain and improve postural stability.
